SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES FOR ADULTS

NEW Class for Young Adults (ages 20-40-ish) Room 205

This new young adult class is for anybody who wants fellowship as well as deepening of their faith. 

The class will begin as video-based with discussion to follow the viewing.


LinCS (Life in Christian Service) Family Life Center

Scott Wilson (scott.wilson@bburgumc.org)

This class meets from 10:15-10:45 in the Family Life Center. Their goal is to share life together while focusing on reaching outside the walls of BUMC to positively impact the community. Sunday mornings consist of fellowship and lively discussions of various but relevant topics. They also meet periodically for local mission projects.


IHS/Stone Class (ages 50+) Room 204

The class is a five-year study of the entire Bible, rotating with different books of the Bible in conjunction with the Cokesbury quarterly. All books of the Bible are covered in the five-year study guide. Class leader guides discussion -- give and take style with discussion. The class is designed to present an application for the lesson for daily living.


WAY-Farers Class (all ages & life stages) Room 203

This class is a diverse group who love and support one another as they struggle together along the journey, attempting to follow the Way of Jesus Christ the Lord. They welcome any wayfaring stranger to join them for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.


Believers Class (ages 30’s - 50’s) Room 206

This class typically rotates quarterly between video-based curriculum, topical book studies, and studying a book of the Bible. 

The class chooses its own curriculum.


Faithful Friends Class (ages 50+) Room 201

This class is a study/discussion of the Bible. Typically, the Cokesbury quarterly is the primary study material, but other special studies concurrent with the pastor’s message may be used. Anyone seeking God’s will and a closer walk with Him is welcome to attend.


Seekers Class (multi-generational, singles & couples) Room 202

This class is a diverse group (multi-generational, singles, couples). It is a facilitator-led discussion of the topic of the day. The study topics are diverse, ranging from a book of the Bible, a commercial book addressing a matter of faith, or an aspect of God’s plan. 

Class members determine the topics. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to discussion, and leadership is rotated by various class members. Everyone is valued and contributes to the group. Social events occur 3 to 4 times a year. 

The class also supports many ministries of the church.
