We are the children’s ministry of Brandenburg United Methodist church. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of our children and world. We seek to serve others more than to be served ourselves and help children and families come alive in Christ and connect to His church. We love children and families by reaching for those far from God, by sacrificing for others and by building relationships and community. Our goal is to connect your child and your family to God and each other.
Welcome to the Nursery! We are located on the second floor of the building. Staffed by Ms. Helen, the BUMC nursery accommodates our youngest children, from babies to preschool. We have a room for infants and a larger play area for toddlers and preschoolers. Our nursery is a safe and secure space for your children while you worship at our church.
Sunday mornings for children K-6 begin with family worship together in the sanctuary. The children will be called forward for a short children’s message during the service and then dismissed to our main children’s area. The children’s area, which is adjacent to the sanctuary’s entrance, provides safe care and teaching while adults worship. Each Sunday the children receive their own message in a lively environment filled with games and music. Sunday School classes are held at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday evenings we have Team 2:52, a format of learning that features both small and large group activities. This fast-paced, fun time engages children in learning about the Bible and God in age-appropriate ways that appeal to all learning styles. Each month focuses on different themes that encourage children to encounter God in new ways.

We love volunteers! Whether you are a parent or just love children, we would love to help you find a place to plug into children’s ministries and help form young disciples. Our volunteers are screened with a background check along with additional safegaurds.
Our church is trained in protecting our children, youth and vulnerable adults through the UMC program Safe Sanctuaries. All staff and volunteers submit to background checks and are and certified through this training.
Our goal is to:
• Protect our children, youth, and vulnerable adults
• Protect those who minister to and work with children, youth and vulnerable adults
• Protect those in our care from physical, emotional, and spiritual harm
• Honor those whom God entrusts to our care
